New Macbook Pro…Been Real Busy

Posted by Matt in August 13th 2009

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack of updates lately. I just bought a June 2009 15″ Macbook Pro and I’ve been pretty enthralled with it, so I haven’t added much new content. I highly recommend you buy one though. They are awesome and I am very happy with my decision to switch from PC.

Anyways, I’ve been think about adding a Mac tips and tricks section to Walffle. Actually I was thinking of making a whole new site dedicated to it, but I don’t really have the time right now with school starting back up in 2 weeks. Hopefully people will find both sections, internet marketing and mac tips, helpful. Also, if anyone has questions or suggestions of topics they’d like to see please feel free to leave a comment or send me an email. I’d love to hear from you!

An Intro to Black Hat Marketing

Posted by Matt in July 21st 2009

I just added a new category to Walffle called “Black Hat”. Black hat marketing is the opposite of everything I’ve been teaching you so far (aka white hat). White hat is the type of internet marketing generally accepted by most people and is considered “moral.” Black hat, on the other hand, can be considered many things, such as immoral, dirty and unfair, but that’s for you to decide. I am not advocating anything, only sharing the information.

Many people believe that black hat marketing is the only true way to market. Why? Because there are many tactics and new and interesting ways of looking at things. There is also less saturation or less people using these techniques. Personally I find them ingenious.

I will try and keep all things I feel are black hat under the “Black Hat” category and all the white hat stuff under “Internet Marketing”. Stay tuned.

Office Web 2010 – Google App Killer?

Posted by Matt in July 13th 2009

It’s official. Microsoft has announced that Office 2010, apart from having many new features, will also be available as a FREE web application. Users will be able to take advantage of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, all for free online. Obviously the web versions of these products (expected to be released mid 2010) will have less features than the full, mostly likely very expensive, desktop versions.

This move to web apps will probably leave many Mac users happy as they will now be able to use Microsoft’s core Office products for free when iWork won’t make due, instead of having to buy Mac Office. Overall it is expected that many college students will benefit by this move.

Many people have concluded that Google’s seemingly random announcement of Chrome OS last week was a marketing tactic to keep the Office hype at bay, especially when Microsoft is now clearly going after Google Apps.

Read more about Office 2010’s new features here.

F the Clunker Bill

Posted by Matt in July 13th 2009

A new bill was passed on Friday (6/19/2009) called the “Cash for Clunkers” Bill. In a nutshell it says that if your car or truck (year 1984 or newer) gets 18 miles per gallon or less they will give you money. You get $3500 if you buy a new car/truck that gets at least 4mpg more than your old vehicle, or $4500 if the new one gets 10mpg. One stipulation is that the car must have been insured for at least one year by the same person.

This is complete bs! The government is rewarded people for being dumb. Let’s think about it. I bought a car that gets 32mpg highway because I do a lot of driving. So what I did here was THINK before I bought. Because of this new bill I will be indirectly punished. How? Since I was smart in the first place I can’t get money towards a new car! Wtf is that? But the asshole who bought a 5mpg Hummer will get more money? Yea that’s fair. Let’s reward people who willingly ruin the environment and oppress those who don’t.

Niche Marketing is like being a Pirate

Posted by Matt in July 9th 2009

Have you ever wondered what a niche market is or how to find one? Sometimes it’s not so easy. Let’s go over the basics and find you a profitable market!

I didn’t know that…

Pirate

I think there is a misconception out there on what exactly a niche market is and how to find one. I can tell you it’s not simply finding a search term or keyword that gets a ton of traffic but has no competition. Well, that’s some of it, but there’s much more to think about if you want to considerate your niche profitable. A niche without profit is just a waste of time. You must also take into account things like:

  1. Are there any affiliate programs for this niche?
  2. Can I market any products myself?
  3. Would people want to buy something related to this topic?
  4. Will targeted traffic convert enough to make this worth it?

Lucky for you I was born! I will go over all of these questions and make it crystal clear.

Plain and Simple

So what exactly is a niche? A niche or niche market is a set of people who are looking for something but can’t or are having a hard time finding a solution due to a lack of relevant search results. This group is typically a subset of some larger group. This is where internet marketers like yourself jump in. Once you uncover a niche you can take advantage to get low cost (Adwords) traffic that is relevant to what people are searching. This means you get targeted traffic for a low cost, which means you get paid more. It’s pretty easy to understand why having a smaller audience within a particular niche can yield better results than marketing to a broader topic. Niches also allow you to cater to your audience’s needs much easier.

Searching for Buried Treasure…Arghh!

There are two things you need to understand. First is that I’m a pirate. Second is that only 15-20% of all searched Treasure Chestkeywords are actually capitalized on. That means 80% of keywords have been untapped and are ready to be uncovered as a profitable niche (aka buried treasure) by you! With so many hidden niches out there, there’s no reason why you would even want a keyword with high traffic with little advertising. Smaller targeted niches will many times have a much higher success rate.

Unbroaden Your Horizon

Yup. Being too broad just won’t cut it if you want to make money. You must be specific because that’s what people are looking for. An avid cat lover is not just going to search “cat” if she is looking to buy the newest rave in kitty fashion. Here’s an example of finding a niche, starting from a broad term.

  1. Cat
  2. Cute cat/cute kittens
  3. Cute kitten clothing
  4. Cute yellow kitten pajamas
  5. Cute yellow pajamas Cats-R-Us kitten

As you can see, each level gets more specific. I can pretty much guarantee there isn’t a huge competition for my fifth search term, but there may be a group or niche of people looking for this item (I hope not because it’s ridiculous). This example probably isn’t the best, but you get the idea. Just use your imagination and do a little research of the broader topic, each time getting more specific for things people would be searching for. Remember to check for affiliate programs once you find a niche. If there are none you better find another niche…or waste your time and money. It’s your call though.

Making a Profit

Once you find a market you feel is profitable you must then take advantage. How? Research and analysis baby. Did you know that you can make practically any niche profitable (if there are products to promote)? All you need to do is understand who the consumer is and what they really want.

Expansion

As I stated earlier, a great way to find out what people want is to search a broader term and check out what those people are really looking for. Rinse and repeat. Remember, “cats” and “cute yellow kitten pajamas” are different.

Problem Keywords

Many times keywords involving problem words will lead to a niche. When someone has a problem or question they generally search for it that way. They use words like “how to, fix, get rid of, repair, etc.” Many times these problems searches are profitable niches.

Forums, Groups and Discussion Boards, Oh My!

The most common place people will try and find solutions or express an opinion is through blogs, forums and groups. What people are talking about will many times lead to a good niche. Try looking for a common topic and research that niche. Can you make it profitable? Many times yes. You can even use what people are talking about to fuel your campaigns.

Tip: To find a forum on a particular niche search for “NICHE + forum” where NICHE is the niche you are looking for (and not in quotes)

Google, MSN, and Yahoo groups are also a good place to start.

Supply and Demand (not Wendy’s 3conomics)

If we want a profitable niche we are going to need both supply and demand to exist. If there is demand for a niche (traffic), but no supply (affiliate products), you may not be able to make money. BUT this does not mean there isn’t an opportunity here. Many internet marketers will jump on this market and develop their own information product or e-business around one of these niches.

When we try and find a niche market we first try and fulfill the demand. Without demand there is no profit, regardless of supply. But if there is high demand but low supply we can fix this. Supply can mean a new product you create or obtain. That’s right. You are the supplier! You can create one of two different types of products. A digital product such as an e-book, training course or software that the user can download, or a tangible product like kitty pajamas that can be sold through places like eBay or other ecommerce sites. If you are willing to put the time into making your own [quality] product after thorough research you will probably see a great return.

It’s Aliveeee

Are you thinking about creating your own product now? I hope so. It’s a great way to make a living as an internet marketer.

Digital

There are tons of informational niches that have almost no relevant information (if you don’t know what you’re doing). If someone can’t easily get the information they want for free or in a convenient location, they will pay. There is also great opportunity when it comes to software development that will save people time and money.

I bet your thinking “But I don’t know anything about the subject. How can I create an info product that people will find useful?” Don’t worry. It’s actually much easier than you’d think. For one, you can go to the library and do research and write everything yourself, or you can outsource all of the work. There are websites designed just for this…finding someone who will do your dirty work. These sites help you find people who will create a product for you in exchange for payment agreed upon by both parties. This is generally cheaper than hiring a professional copywriter or software developer and is relatively cheap.

  • Elance (content research/copyrighting/articles/software/web applications)
  • Rentacoder (application/website/software development)
  • Scriptlance (application/website/articles/software)

Once you have a digital product you can put it on sites like Clickbank for whatever price you want. Remember that just because you have a product does not mean it will be profitable, but if you market and promote it right in the product-lacking niche, it will have great potential. Here are some sites that you can promote digital products:

  • ClickBank.com
  • Paydotcom
  • RegNow

Tangible

There are many niches where people are looking for tangible products. If you find one try setting up an eBay store and selling the product through them. If you aren’t planning on making the tangible item yourself you must find a company that will (and most will even ship for you). Once you get this set up you will be on your way to starting your own retail business!

Unreliable Hosting + Upgrading = PO’ed

Posted by Matt in July 8th 2009

So yesterday Walffle was down the entire day. I contacted my hosting company and they told me that Wordpress is very cpu intensive and that I must have too many plugins installed which are causing too many queries and spiking the process loads. I found this hard to believe as I hadn’t change any plugins or really anything else for at least two weeks. Now all of a sudden it doesn’t work? BS. I renamed my plugins folder like they suggested but no luck. I emailed them back but no response now.

Today I try and login to my Wordpress admin panel and it magically works again. At this opportunity I immediately removed all uneccesassry plugins, upgraded them all, upgraded Wordpress and installed some caching plugins, all to help keep server load to a minimum.

In conclusion, I find it hard to believe my site was even causing a problem. I just started this blog and I had maybe 15 plugins total and not a ton of traffic. Since I’m on shared hosting, I bet it was someone else eating up all the cpu usage and leaving me with next to none. There’s no reason it would be fine for 2 weeks, stop working for one day, and then be fine again. And to top it off I cannot tag my posts correctly since upgrading now.

EDIT: I’ve been dealing with the tagging issue all day but I just found the solution. If you have DB Cache enabled and are using Wordpress 2.8 then tagging won’t work correctly. Tags just don’t save. Disabling DB Cache solves the issue.

Google Chrome OS

Posted by Matt in July 8th 2009

Google just announced that they will be working on a new operating system called Google Chrome OS. Much like Google Chrome, it’s goal is to “go back to basics.” Key features include speed, simplicity and security, and will first be aimed towards netbooks. They say current operating systems were built in the olden days, before the web was in full force. Google Chrome OS will be built specifically for the web and will only take a few seconds to boot. Expected release will be during the second half of 2010.

Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS. We’re designing the OS to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. And as we did for the Google Chrome browser, we are going back to the basics and completely redesigning the underlying security architecture of the OS so that users don’t have to deal with viruses, malware and security updates. It should just work.

Chrome OS will run on both x86 and ARM architectures and will be available for all systems (Windows, Mac, Linux). Best of all it will be open source. Google will be calling for help from many developers on this one. Maybe you will be a part of history!

Email Marketing

Posted by Matt in July 2nd 2009

Are you making millions yet with your website/advertising? Maybe yes, maybe no. In any case, wouldn’t you like to make more? Today, many internet marketers are using another technique in conjunction with their websites/landing pages to help drive sales. They use a little thing called email marketing. Keep reading to surely increase your sales.

Email Marketing?!…What the Heck is an Email??

Email marketing is simply getting an email list through opt-ins* and then marketing to that list via email. It is very powerful because it gives you and your business many more opportunities to make a sale because people don’t have to visit your site to learn about the product. With an email list you can send out updates, notices, tip and tricks, service announcements, promotions and just about anything else you can imagine. You can even promote things that you haven’t created (affiliate marketing what?). They provide you with constant contact with potential customers for much longer than a single website visit would.

*An opt-in is a word that describes a person choosing to join a mailing list. It is different from spam because you are not “finding” these email addresses, they are willingly given to you with consent of future email. Opt-ins (and therefore mailing lists) are ethical internet marketing tactics used by millions.

The Beginning

The first thing you will need to do is get set up with an autoresponder. This will automatically send emails to people after they opt-in. You can also email your entire list at once as well as setup other automated email times. There are many out there, but I recommend Aweber because it’s the best you can get. Awebser is a paid service but it is well worth the money. If you’re serious about email marketing this is what you need. A free autoresponder service just won’t cut it.

To sign up visit aweber.com and click “Order” in the top right and fill in your info. The service is only $19/month and less if you purchase for a longer amount of time. It really is worth the money because it makes your life so easy and allows you to generate much more money because you will be able to advertise to more people more often. If you are unsure of this service or if email marketing is right for you, just try it for a single month and then make your final decision. This is a small investment with huge potential.

Once you sign up you will be sent your login information to access the Aweber control panel right away. The panel may seem a little confusing at first, but don’t worry. I will help you.

Think about it

Let’s say you have a squeeze page that gets about 50% conversions. This means that half the people that visit your page are opting in. Now let’s say you get a small amount of traffic each day, such as 30 hits. This will give you 15 people joining your email list a day. That’s 450 people in just one month! You can now market products to these people how ever often you’d like via email. Now pretend 1% of those emailed promotions convert into sales. That gives you 4-5 sales (on top of what you’re already making) per email, and after only one month of “squeezing.” If the product you’re selling is only $20, that’s a cool $100…just from sending out ONE email. Imagine what happens when your list gets even bigger, as it will over time, and you send out 2-3 (or more) emails per month! Craziness.

How to do it – Step by Step

Let’s get back to Aweber and set up an autoresponder to start making us sales!

Email List

First, login to Aweber. Once inside, you will see that a default mailing list has been setup for you. We are going to edit this. It should look similar to “default12345″. To edit the default list click on the “List Settings” tab at the top, bringing up a new window.

Now enter a list name, description, company name and website url. You can leave the logo url and divider color blank. For the Autoresponder Admin Emails you must enter at least one email address that all emails will be sent from.

OK, we’re halfway there. Your list is now complete, but there are a few more tweaks to perform to get the most out of our Aweber service.

Follow-ups

Follow-up messages are great because they allow you to automate basically everything, making your life easy as pie. They get sent out instantly when someone opts in.

In Aweber, make sure your new email list name is selected in the “Select List” box and then click the “Messages” tab. Click the link in the center of the screen that reads “Create Message 1″. Here is where you will write your first follow-up email that will be sent out when people subscribe to your list.

Tip: Be sure to enter your message into both the Plain Text and HTML boxes because not all email servers can read HTML.

There is a box at the top where you can select different prebuilt templates for your email. Feel free to use them, but I am going to go over manually creating your own [email]. Also notice the dropdown box to “Merge Personalization Fields”. This lets you insert code variables, such as “{!name}” which will be replaced when the email is sent out. In this case, the “name” variable will be replaced by the name of each unique person the email is sent to.

While writing be sure to add link[s] to your website and/or any affiliate product you may be promoting. Also make some of the text an actual link because it will greatly improve your click-through rate. Also check the “Click Tracking” box if you want Aweber to keeps statistics on how many times your links are clicked. This is very helpful in determining how effective your auto respond emails are doing.

Now click “Save”. Yay! Hold up, we’re not finished just yet. Check out that “Spam” menu. What’s your rating? Aweber will tell you how close your email is to being spam. The lower the number the better. If you click the number you can get an explanation of why you got this rating. If necessary, follow the instructions to make appropriate changes. A spam score under 3.0 will most likely reach most of the people on your list.

Now notice the “Test” button. This is a great feature to help make sure you don’t screw up. Click it and a test email (a replica of what your list members will receive) will be sent to the email address you setup earlier. I highly highly recommend you use this.

Woo, that’s all done! Let’s get this bad boy implemented so it works.

Sign Me Up

We need to get your signup form on your site so people can start subscribing and you can start sending emails. This will require a little HTML work (and therefore access to the website/landing page code), but don’t worry if this is foreign to you. It’s easy peasy.

Like before, make sure your list is in the “Select List” box from the main panel page. Click the “Web Form Generator” tab and click the “Create new web form” link. Now name your form. This will only be seen by you so make it meaningful. The next step is important. You need to choose the type of form you wish to use. I will go over the inline form, but you may choose a popup form if you’d like. Both are effective. It’s more about personal taste.

You now need an enticing headline. There are many headline techniques you can use here. Just make sure that it’s relevant to what you are promoting on your website. It should also relate to what your follow-up message says. If your website is about selling “kitty carriers” then both your headline and follow-up should be too. After the heading, you must choose the fields you want your visitors to fill out. I suggest a name and email (make them required).

Finally, save your form and then click “Get HTML” on the new window. Copy the javascript code that is similar to:

<script type=”text/javascript” src=”http://forms.aweber.com/form/12/123456789.js”></script>

Head over to your webpage’s code and paste that code somewhere between the “<body> </body>” tags. Save the file and upload it to your webserver.

You may want to try placing the opt-in form in various places on your page to see which one works best for you. Also be sure to try out pop-up versus incline forms.

Broadcasting

So you want to send an email to your list (or part of it) but not on a designated time such as every Monday or when people first sign up. No problem. Send a broadcast message anytime you want!

As always, make sure your list is selected in Aweber and click the “Messages” tab and then “Broadcast Edit”. Click “Create New Broadcast” and fill everything out as you would for a follow-up email. Once everything is done and you check the spam rating you can press “Queue Now”. Once clicked you will have 5 minutes (by default) to stop the email from going out. Make sure everything is perfect before you queue the email. You don’t want anything bad or embarrassing mistakes being sent out to thousands of people.

Some Advice

Email marketing is very lucrative. It’s very exciting when you send out a single email and start earning hundreds or even thousands of dollars from a single click! But a word of caution. You absolutely positively under no circumstances never ever EVER want to just send out emails that sell products. I’m not saying don’t send out an email that has a sole purpose of selling a product. I’m saying change it up a bit. Users will unsubscribe (yes they can do that) from your list if you are always “spamming” them with products and never providing them with quality content. You will want to send out guides, tips, e-books, tutorials, member’s only bonuses, etc. to keep everyone well informed and happy with you. Try and keep product promotion to a minimum. If you do this, those promotions will generate TONS of income. It’s all about establishing trust. If a subscriber likes what you put out there (aka content) and trusts what you have to say, you are a million more times likely to make a sale.

You also don’t want to send out too many emails. Who wants 30 emails a month from the same person? It’s good to establish a timeframe of how often you will send out emails and then let your subscribers know. If you’re going to send out weekly messages, tell them. That way they don’t take it as spam but see it more as a newsletter.

My End, Your Future

I hope you learned a lot from this email marketing tutorial. It’s a great way to generate a ton of money relatively easily. Now go out there, get an Aweber account and setup your first mailing list to become an internet marketing success!

Using Clickbank

Posted by Matt in June 30th 2009

Ever heard of Clickbank? Want to know more? In this tutorial I will explain in depth everything you need to know about Clickbank so you can maximize its potential.

Quick Overview

Clickbank is THE affiliate network for digital products. Period. With over 10,000 products, no other network has more than they do. These products range anywhere from e-books on fixing your car to training manuals on how to start your own business. You can pretty much find an info product on anything you want to sell in just about any niche.

There a few things you might not understand right off the bat when starting with Clickbank. This tutorial I will walk you through setting up an account, finding quality products, getting your affiliate links and more.

Head on over to clickbank.com and sign up for an account. It’s absolutely free and only takes a minute. Creating an account allows you to generate affiliate links to track sales you make. Be sure to use the “Promote Products” tab to sign up.

Note: Not all countries are available to promote Clickbank products. If you are in this situation don’t fret. Here are some other great affiliate networks to try:

Cj.com
Linkshare.com
Shareasale.com
Performics.com
ClixGalore.com

Link to Success

After you sign up you are instantly ready to get your own affiliate link for any product. This link will tell Clickbank both when it is clicked and if a sale resulted from the click. If a sale is made the earnings generated will be available for viewing in your account, showing you what product was sold and for how much, as well as the buyer’s name, email and sell date.

To find these links you must visit the Clickbank Marketplace, a database of all their products. Here you can search by various criteria to find exactly what you are looking for.

Once you find a product (we will go over finding “quality” products shortly) you need to click the “create hoplink” button. A popup window will appear asking for your Clickbank nickname and an optional tracking ID. Your nickname is the one you chose when signing up for your account. Once you submit (forget about the tracking ID for now) a link will be generated for you to use and promote the product.

Note: It’s important to use the generated link that contains your nickname. If your nickname is not in the URL you will not get credit for any sales. Quite the opposite of what we want.

Creating a hoplink

Follow the Yellow Brick Road

Remember the tracking codes I said to forget about 2 seconds ago? I hope so. Well, Clickbank uses these to help you track your campaign performance and determine which ad groups and keywords are working best.

To activate a tracking code, simply put it in the box when creating your affiliate link as I described above. You can name your tracking ID anything you want. The easiest thing to do is name it something similar to the product. If I am promoting “kitty carriers” I would simply name it something like “kittycarrier”.

If your link converts to a sale, it will appear in your Clickbank Account Reporting under the Analytics section with the particular id attached. This will allow you to track where your sales are coming from, allowing you to target your sales to specific groups of people or niches, and showing you which ads are working best. Here are some things you can do (assume 2 ads per example) to most benefit from tracking codes and thus better profit:

Testing Ads
Keep the same keywords and landing page but change up the ad text (and use different links pointing to the same landing page)

Testing Keywords
Keep everything the same except for the keywords

Testing Landing Pages
Keep everything the same but have the landing page be different

In each of these tests, use a different tracking ID for each ad. So if I’m testing a campaign, and I want to know which keyword works best of 2 ads I create, I would name my tracking ID’s something like “kittycarrier1″ for my first ad and “kittycarrier2″ for my second.

These tests will allow you to determine which ads are working best by comparing their conversion rates based on ad text, keywords and landing pages. Tracking your ads is a powerful way to optimize sales and make a maximum profit.

Choose is or Lose it

So you probably want to know how to weed out quality products from crap. Why? Because promoting crap stinks…you won’t get a good return. Any can add products to the Clickbank marketplace, and many of these are low quality. A quick trick to determine if a product is low quality is by looking at the refund rate. If it is returned a lot, it’s probably for good reason – CRAP. If you sell something that is then refunded, you lose (or don’t get) your commission. Let’s go over some strategies to determine what’s good and what’s not.

Gravity
Gravity is a number calculated by Clickbank. It is based on the number of affiliates who make sales and the actual sales volume over the past 8 weeks. In a nutshell, high gravity means many affiliates are making money from the product, or the product is new and is receiving a lot of recognition. You shouldn’t base your decision solely on gravity though. Sometimes crap products have high gravity. Other times great products have a low gravity.

Earned per Sale
This is the average amount you’re looking to make (after refunds and other Clickbank fees) per sale. Obviously this is an estimation and won’t reflect your exact earnings. It’s pretty darn close though.

Commission
This is the percentage you can earn per sale. Note that commission percentage does not equal actual commission (due to fees).

Referral
This percentage represents the number of sales made by affiliates compared to sales made by the product owner directly. Sometimes product creators promote their own stuff, so we want to make sure we aren’t competing with them. If the ref% is over 65% you’re in the clear. If not you may have a tough time making sales.

Refund Rate
The refund rate is not given by Clickbank, and for obvious reasons. But there is an easy way to calculate it with all of the information you already have.

Let’s say you found a product that costs $37 with a commission of 50% and an earned/sale of $16.00. This tells us affiliates average $16 per sale after refunds are taken into account. Now it’s time to calculate!

1. Subtract fees

37 – 7.5% – 1 = 33.23

2. Commission

33.32 * 50% = 16.61

3. Earned to Actual

16.61 – 16 = .61

4. Refund Rate

.61 / 16.61 = .037 = 3.7%

This product’s return rate is very low, indicating it is probably a very high quality product. Sometimes this calculation will be inaccurate if the commission rate changes, but most of the time it should be fine.

Clickbank Item

A Quick Buck

One of the most popular ways to promote products is through direct linking because it bypasses having to create your own landing page or website. If you haven’t done so already, I recommend reading my post called Optimizing Adwords. It goes into depth on creating your first Adwords campaign and provides some other useful tips and tricks. Here is a quick overview if you are short on time at the moment.

To direct link to a product, simply setup a Google Adwords campaign using appropriate text and keywords. For the url, use the affiliate link you generated from one of the Clickbank products you want to promote. When someone clicks your ad they will be directed to the merchant’s already-made landing page where the user can buy the product. Make sure the display url shows the website being linked to, but not the full affiliate link text (it’s ugly and no one will click it). That’s it! You’re on your way to financial success now.

Clickbank remains a popular first affiliate networking site for many because it is so simple to use and generates hundreds of thousands of dollars in commissions each and every day. In this tutorial we went over using Clickbank from beginning to end, pointing out great ways to separate ourselves from the uneducated internet marketers. Once you become an affiliate marketer master you may want to check out creating and promoting your own products. Clickbank is a great place to find products to affiliate market as well as get your own sold.

Why do People Waste my Time?

Posted by Matt in June 28th 2009

Hey everyone. I just created a new section to Walffle calledRant and Rave. It’s just an area for me to complain about all things I hate. You may or may not find it interesting/funny, but whatever. These will probably be short too.

Getting to the Point

You’ve probably noticed that my posts are generally short. That’s because I like to get right to the point and tell people exactly what they need to know. I hate having to read pages and pages of fluff that only convey one point that I could have been told within the first 5 seconds. Why do they do this? Because they want you to be “enticed” and stay on their page longer. Half the time they try and get you hooked and say, “Hey, I just told you almost nothing, but why don’t you check out another one of my posts so I can do the same thing to lead you somewhere else.” I understand the concept of this. It’s called driving traffic. But guess what? That’s not how I roll.

I want to be a different kind of internet marketer, at least a different one who tries to help others. My goal is to tell people what they want to know without stupid fluff and without wasting their time. If you like my content and what I have to say, you will probably come back. If you don’t come back then that’s ok too. I just want to keep everything as simple as possible and as easy to learn as I can so everyone can benefit without too much effort.

Thanks for listening (reading),
Matt
